Mandriva Linux 2007 install party
Have you ever heard of Mandriva linux?
This is the successor of Mandrakelinux- a very user friendly distribution, suitable for non-advanced Linux users who still don’t have the necessary knowledge for administering it mainly by using the console. It was created in 1998 with the goal of making Linux easier to use for everyone who wants to take advantage of the free open source software, which is offering a multitude of possibilities and can in most cases be a very good substitute of other, commercial OS’s. So, after more than a year, the new version Mandriva Linux 2007 (available for i586 & x86_64 architectures) is out. You can download it here.
To celebrate this event, Mandriva has organized a worldwide install party. It will take place on 21.10.2006 in 11 countries simultaneously. If you want to participate, you are more than welcome. You can find the exact locations and all the needed information here
