What’s the best method for tracking the visits of a site?

analytics vs. sitemeter

It is possible to write a lot about this topic, and we will. But today I just want to briefly compare two tools: Google Analytics vs. Sitemeter. Google Analytics is more powerful, but Sitemeter, being simpler, may result friendlier. Also, Sitemeter can send you a daily email with the info of the visits of the previous days, while Google Analytics doesn’t do it yet. Besides, Sitemeter also counts the “visits” of search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Altavista. If your site appears in the results of a search of those sites, then that’s considered a visit by Sitemeter, but not by Google Analytics. If you have anything to add to this subject, comments are welcome!
