Business Networking Websites
There is a saying about being successful in business: “It’s not what you know, but who you now.”
Based on that concept, some websites provide a way of connecting with other professionals, and with contacts of our contacts. Some of the most famous are Linkedin, Open BC (in the future Xing), Ryze, and Neurona (for Spanish speakers).
These websites are in a certain way vast databases of resumes, and so they are starting to be used a lot by recruiters, to prescreen candidates.
Beyond these tools, the trend has also extended to some Universities, which have developed or bought their own platforms in order to keep their alumni connected.
